Where does the ship dock?
Brindisi’s harbour is the city’s defining shape and its main practical complication. The centre curls around sheltered water, while ship berths can occupy different operational zones; photograph the exact arrival instruction before stepping aboard any shuttle.
Can I walk into town?
The Roman Columns, Virgil Steps, cathedral quarter, Archaeological Museum and waterfront create a calm city route. Lecce and Ostuni offer strong regional alternatives, but each should replace rather than crowd the Brindisi circuit.
Practical information
Harbour wind and summer heat can be strong, churches remain active and museum hours may include gaps. Check the ship transfer, current opening and the final safe departure time before travelling beyond the centre.
What fits the day?
Two hours is enough for the harbour head and cathedral streets. Half a day supports the museum and monument. A longer call can reach Lecce or Ostuni with a pre-arranged return and a large margin.
