Where does the ship dock?
Marmaris Cruise Port is close to the old town and castle, but the resort strip continues for kilometres around the bay.
Can I walk into town?
The castle, old town, marina, waterfront and one beach form the strongest choices. Distant coast and archaeology should be treated as sole anchors.
Practical information
Summer heat and resort traffic slow movement. Verify boat operator, return sailing and road fallback before leaving central Marmaris.
What fits the day?
Two hours suits the old town and marina. Half a day can add the central beach. İçmeler or Turunç replaces the central circuit rather than extending it.
Safety and return
Use licensed transport, avoid unverified boat transfers and protect against sun and slippery harbour surfaces. Preserve a large margin from Turunç.
