Where does the ship dock?
Ocho Rios uses two fixed berths: the main terminal beside Turtle Beach Road and Reynolds Pier west of the bay. The ship's daily instruction is authoritative because a generic Ocho Rios pickup can reach the wrong gate.
Can I walk into town?
Central Ocho Rios, Island Village and the craft market support short plans. Dunn's River Falls, White River, Blue Hole, St. Ann's Bay and Seville require reliable transport and one disciplined route.
Practical information
English is official and Jamaican Patois is a living language, not comic English. Tropical heat, sudden rain, wet limestone, river flow and north-coast traffic can change a plan quickly.
What fits the day?
Two hours suits the centre, bay beach or one nearby garden. Half a day suits Dunn's River Falls or a carefully booked river attraction. Seville, Green Grotto or inland cultural routes need an early turn-back.
Safety and return
Use authorised transport and responsible guides. Never climb a waterfall beyond your ability, enter fast water after rain, touch coral or accept an improvised late detour. Return to the exact assigned pier early.
