Ibiza / Eivissa Cruise Port Guide

Most cruise passengers arrive around Botafoc, facing Dalt Vila across the water. The skyline looks close, but the marina and harbour roads make the first transfer longer than the view suggests.

Where does the ship dock?

Ibiza Town pairs a working harbour with a steep fortified old town. Decide early whether the day is about Eivissa itself or a beach farther away; combining both can create unnecessary transport risk.

Can I walk into town?

Use the cruise shuttle, taxi or confirmed harbour service to reach the centre. Dalt Vila rewards walking but the climb, heat and cobbles matter more than the short map distance.

Practical information

Euros and cards are common. Strong sun, polished cobbles and steep ramps shape the day; carry water and use footwear suited to Dalt Vila.

What fits the day?

Two hours suits Vara de Rey, the lower old town and a viewpoint. Half a day can include Dalt Vila and a museum; beaches or another town need a longer call and a fixed return.

Safety and return

Keep the Botafoc route visible and do not rely on finding an immediate taxi. For beaches or island buses, choose a return that leaves another viable service behind it.
