Where does the ship dock?
Confirm MPCT or a city berth before judging distance. MPCT is a secured working-port transfer; J4 and Joliette place passengers near Mucem and Le Panier.
Can I walk into town?
From MPCT, verify shuttle pickup and final return before sightseeing. From J4, the waterfront, Mucem and Le Panier are directly accessible.
Practical information
Currency is the euro. Summer heat, hills and exposed waterfront walking can materially change journey times; carry water and choose transport for the steepest routes.
What fits the day?
Two hours suits Vieux-Port and one nearby district. A half-day can add Mucem or Notre-Dame. A full day supports a second neighbourhood if the MPCT transfer remains protected.
Safety and return
Save the berth, shuttle pickup, ship time and all-aboard. MPCT road traffic is the main return risk; retain taxi funds and do not depend on an unverified last shuttle.
