Where does the ship dock?
Zakynthos Town is an appealing local day in its own right, while the island’s most famous coast lies much farther away. The essential first choice is whether to enjoy the harbour town or commit to one controlled island route—not to collect every postcard at once.
Can I walk into town?
The town’s arcades, museums, churches and waterfront reward a gentle circuit. Bochali adds views and castle remains. The marine park, Blue Caves and north-west coast are separate expeditions whose conservation rules, sea state and return transport need explicit checking.
Practical information
Follow National Marine Park instructions, keep distance from turtles and never disturb nests. Navagio access and boat routes can change for safety reasons; use current official and ship advice rather than an old photograph or social-media itinerary.
What fits the day?
Two hours suits the waterfront churches and central squares. Half a day can add museums or Bochali. A longer call should choose one protected-south or north-coast experience with a large margin and a fallback if boats or roads change.
Safety and return
Use licensed transport, verify boat operators and keep the berth or tender landing saved offline. The safe plan turns back early from distant cliffs, caves or beaches and reaches the correct controlled return before the ship’s published limit.
